On Wednesday the 22nd May, four students got the opportunity to go to the Girls with Hi-Vis (GWHV) event. This was held at Counties Energy in Pukekohe. 

The girls learnt about working in the energy industry from the other women who have jobs in this sector; from a lines mechanic to an engineer. They had some hands on experience, operating a loader crane and a cable finder. They also had a tour of the operations room to see how that side of things work. 

The girls said they had a good day and operating the crane was fun and a highlight for them.
