Wednesday 3rd June, nine of our students attended Engineering in Action, delivered by Wintec’s Centre for Engineering and Industrial Design (CEID) in partnership with the Waikato Engineering Careers Association.
The day provided students with exciting hands-on experiences through interactive engineering demonstrations on campus. They also had the opportunity to speak with staff, current students, and graduates to learn more about engineering study options and future career pathways.
As part of the programme, students visited Wade Group Ltd, an innovative engineering company that designs and builds a wide range of specialised vehicles. During the site visit, our students witnessed the construction process of Police prisoner transport vans — from the early build stages through to the fully fitted-out vehicles.
A huge thank you to the organisers and industry partners for providing such an engaging and inspiring learning experience for our students.
