KEYSTONE TRUST SCHOLARSHIPS
Helping you make the leap into university or polytechnic study.
To be eligible for a school leaver scholarship, students need to demonstrate they are:
- New Zealand citizens or have permanent resident status
- Facing financial challenges or difficult circumstances
- At the minimum of University Entrance achieved
- Able to use good written and verbal communication skills
- Intending to enrol at a tertiary institution in New Zealand to study a property- or construction-related degree (like architecture, construction, engineering, planning, property management, real estate, quantity surveying or valuation)
- Passionate for their chosen course and future career
Before a student starts their application, they need to make sure they have the following supporting documents to attach. They can use the holidays to research, request and compile these documents:
- Record of achievements for year 11 and 12 (NCEA records and most recent school report)
- Reference from the principal and another reference (not a family member)
- Details of financial and personal circumstances (ie parents/caregivers income details, WINZ/IRD statements, payslips of their own if they work part time)
- Head and shoulders photograph of themselves (please consider the appropriateness of the photograph ie: not a ball photograph)
- Please ensure all documentation is provided in PDF portrait format
A student can complete Part I of the application process and if they don't have all the necessary supporting documentation they can save all their contact information at that step. Once they press 'save', students will receive an email with the link that will take them back to their application so they can resume. They need to save that email as the system will not allow them to make multiple applications.
