Auckland and Waiuku Libraries visit Wesley College
The purpose of the visit was to teach the students how libraries work, what sorts of things libraries can offer, and to issue all students with their own public library cards.

On Thursday 3rd September, Ms Cathryn Mitchell and Ms Lisa Allcott came from Auckland Public Library and Waiuku Library respectively to talk to the Year 9 and Year 10 students who are currently in the Reading Enhancement Programme at Wesley College.

The visit was organised as a collaboration between Ms Kim Taylor-Cameron, Wesley College Librarian and Ms Carmel Stewart, REP Teacher.

The purpose of the visit was to teach the students how libraries work, what sorts of things libraries can offer, and to issue all students with their own public library cards.

The students were amazing, respectful and interested and grateful to receive their own public library cards enabling them to access all Auckland libraries across Tāmaki Makaurau.
